If it has your name,
shred it
Identity theft often starts with paper someone threw away. If a document has your name, address, account number or signature and you no longer need it, it belongs in the shredder.
Old tax records
Past returns, W-2s, 1099s and receipts you no longer need to keep.
Bank & card statements
Statements, cancelled checks, credit card offers and anything with an account number.
Medical & insurance
Bills, benefit statements, prescription labels and insurance paperwork with personal details.
Office files
Client records, invoices, payroll and HR paperwork. Cleaning out a whole office? Call ahead.
Old mail & papers
Pre-approved offers, old letters and anything with your name, address or signature on it.

Before you drive over
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in with a box or bag any time we're open. For a large office clean-out, call ahead so we're ready for you.
Do I need to sort anything first?
Pull out binders, folders and anything that isn't paper. We'll take care of the rest.
How much does shredding cost?
It depends on how much you bring. Ask at the counter and we'll give you the price before we start.
Can you handle a lot of boxes?
Yes. For big jobs like an office or estate clean-out, call the store first so we can plan the time.
How long should I keep tax records before shredding?
The IRS generally recommends keeping returns and supporting records for at least three years, and up to seven in some cases. When in doubt, check with your tax preparer.
